IMSA and American Le Mans Series
Endurance car racing is on a whole other level.
The teams that compete in the IMSA series, once American Le Mans series, are competing in incredibly long races. The longest races are 24 hours. You’ll find those in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Many others are 12+ hours. They require multiple driver teams and a ton of endurance…and money. Many of these teams spend significant 6 digit figures to compete in each race; often they spend more. Over the years I’ve shot the Mobil One 12 Hours of Sebring and the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. Unlike NASCAR and Indy, the IMSA races often allow spectators to walk through the garage and paddock areas. All of the photos in this section were shot without photo credentials.
